Six Stix Percussion

Six Stix Percussion logo

Six Stix formed in 2010 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in order to join the Wigmore Hall's "Chamber Tots" series, with the aim of sharing their enthusiasm for percussion music with a wider audience. The members of Six Stix have a wide range of experience across a broad spectrum of genres. They have worked professionally across the world, including work with professional orchestras such as the CBSO and NSO, shows in London's West End, work on the UK jazz and folk scenes, performances on major television and radio stations, and even a Hollywood film! They also have a collective interest in music education, all having taught at different levels. Work includes workshops for the National Youth Orchestra, UK Wider Opportunities schemes, one-to-one tuition and youth ensemble direction. Six Stix were thrilled to take part in the Wigmore Hall's Chamber Tots series, and were a very popular addition to the series. Children and parents alike were effusive in their feedback Six Stix accessible, fun and participative concerts.

Six Stix's product is twofold: they offer professional recitals in contemporary music, and interactive concert workshops aimed at children but suitable for everyone, whether you are aged 2 or 102!
